AERIAL YOGA

Aarial Yoga for body and mind

Among the best exercises for the body and the mind is Yoga and today I will tell you of a single mode: Floating Yoga or Aerial Yoga.
Floating Yoga is inspired by a form of aerial yoga and antigravity yoga. You can use hanging swings and hammocks to practice the exercises.
Floating Yoga involves airborne balance with your feet firmly tied in stirrups while doing breathing exercises and stretching.
It consists of a mixture of acrobatics with the advantage of doing it from a hammock. The creator of the exercises “John J Sweeney” explains the floating yoga is reaching immense popularity in many yoga centers and specialized gyms because it offers a unique fusion in a technique that alleviates joint stress while getting balance body from head to toe. It also helps improve health and physical agility in a fun and creative way.

Differences between yoga and Aerial/floating yoga exercises:
Yoga exercises are subject to gravity (like any other). By doing yoga exercises floating in a hammock strung it improves body biomechanics and exercise allows the suspension of the head down (to avoid putting weight on the neck).
This allows the spine has a greater space for stretching between the vertebrae. At the same time it serves to stimulate the nervous system and improve the agility of the spine.
Experts say the aerial/floating yoga differs from traditional yoga in which it was “everything” about connecting with the universe planted firmly on the ground feet. In recent times there has been innovation in cardio training techniques and other stretching and pilates and both have merged. It is a natural way to improve circulation and flexibility.
These exercises are also used for weight loss. They have had a strong impact on the most advanced fitness.

How is a floating yoga class:

The duration of the class is 50 minutes. Yoga exercises and stretching can be difficult initially. With practice you get to the easy implementation of movements.
Floating Yoga is suspended and requires more balance and more strength. However, some movements are easier in the hanging hammock. For example: backbends and prone positions can be made with greater ease and control.
The floating Yoga can give you calm and serenity that gives you the traditional yoga.

The structure of the class is as follows:

1.Begin with sun salutation.
2. Stretching
3. prayanama (breathing techniques)
4. Asanas (yoga specific movements) involving bends, twists, etc.
5. Savasana (relaxation techniques).
This technique is not easy to make at home. I recommend starting at a specialized gym.
